It seems like a detour farfetched
to pass through earthly life until bust
then hauled in a shiny hearse stretched
as “ashes to ashes, dust to dust”
For what’s a mortuary
but a somber treadmill?
and what’s a cemetery
but a solemn landfill?
After burial is It still
out there bungling it, my ‘free will?
