Refuse defenses
of both ‘panem’
& of ‘circenses’
best just ban’em
They provide spurious easement
distracting entertainment
mere superficial appeasement
in consumer containment
Such ‘adults’ in shorts:
keep celeb name-dropping
shopping, watching sports
snacks with extra topping
Won’t achieve Reality attainment
watching commercials & infotainment
Eating a tender ‘veal’ meal
brought to dinner table
with ugly, hardhearted zeal
Here’s goes the non-fable:
Cruelty we’re mislabeling
yes, how a calf becomes veal
This is what we are enabling
it’s a once in lifetime steal
He suffers alone the forlorn calf
put in dark bin to become ‘veal’
on pitiless meat eaters behalf
all his hoped-for joy they would steal
After months in the dark
posture hard to be shifted
calf cannot even walk
so weak he must be lifted
Then drawing his last breath
from Hell’s lonely bane
liberated by Death
from the gruesome pain
“My eating cheese, drinking milk
did not kill the milked cow!”
Well, you of indulgent ilk
it does, here’s when & how:
A milked out cow suffers five years
when slaughter ends her life in fears
If you’re part of the admass
lost, beguiled & propagandized
you’re on your ass in morass
unwittingly anesthetized
The MSM ain’t independent
rather the Elites’ co-defendant

Reigned briefly

Brawled chiefly

Our Species capricious
in predicament drastic
piled garbage pernicious
stifling planet in plastic!
While us Humans quick in verbal comeback
when it comes to changing we turn our back
Bought a car for $50K
that had kept me spellbind
so subsequently no way
getting a cheaper kind
Still if spent $30k instead
some poor people would be ahead
Would a $20k donation
set me free to drive a car ‘mundane’?
Might I cause my peers vexation
by giving my compassion free rein?
But as us peers are uniquely deserving
shouldn’t have to deal with what-if:s this unnerving!
Advertised on blogs:
“These pass muster!”
about some hot dogs
“Pass the mustard!”
Maybe hot dogs look good
given a cursory glance
from where we had first stood
but if looked again, askance:
How & with what are hot dogs made
but poor mistreated animal parts?
The question we evade, dismayed:
How did they end up so cold, our hearts?
But don’t ask, just chomp, don’t tell!
If tastes good, ain’t then all well?
Must be the fossil fuel
or the biggest banks!
Those from ivy league school
in government’s ranks!
We seldom seem nonplussed
that’s never because of ‘us’
Of course would’ve been unjust
as got no time to discuss
Makes us innocent victims fume
when trying so hard to consume
We hail from people who had to toil
through ages in bleak subsistence
on some miserly morsel of soil
eking out a grim existence
Disadvantaged
but they managed
Now to ‘consumer’ uplifted
infinitely more stuff
How human life has shifted!
Why can’t we get enough?
They walk in Summer weather gorgeous beyond words (at least mine) but seems can’t refrain from ogling their smart phone screens
Roundly outsmarted by their phones
amidst billions fellow clones:
Do they watch sky’s shades of blue
listening to winds rustling leaves
while price checking household glue
or how to foil those cat food thieves?
Are their lives adhering to plans
getting soon to driving that Benz?
Think wide car tires look so cool
and who says they waste gas?
Should not make us vain a fool
or a science slack ass!
They’re part of our urbanity
of which tires aren’t just incidental
Not a case of mere vanity
and ain’t to others detrimental
It’s not what we actually steal
It’s all about how is makes me feel
