with some semblance of grace
Can’t find the time to bother about the clime
With cataclysm impending
our angst won’t be resolved
by adroitly defending
our staying self-involved
We claim cannot find the time
to give to inequality

as we favor frivolity
Concerned more with own economy
and our fondness for gastronomy
So what if the sky is grey or blue when busy pricing household glue?
They walk in Summer weather gorgeous beyond words (at least mine) but seems can’t refrain from ogling their smart phone screens
Roundly outsmarted by their phones
amidst billions fellow clones:
Do they watch sky’s shades of blue
listening to winds rustling leaves

or how to foil those cat food thieves?

of the stolid Kingdom of Sweden
to persuade itself to unleash
from seeing itself as an Eden:
Where was that Swedish predilection
for well ingrained circumspection
when joined NATO without election
in untoward genuflection?
Swedish deliberations may seem esoteric
to the surrounding, less advanced, world barbaric
Within this moment, or its fraction, sounds the call for action
Now’s the time to be strong minded:
While the past always matters
when by flashbacks we’re reminded
but mustn’t drown in its splatters
Thus stretch now to our boldest stance:
