She knows her mind
her convictions strong
her heart beats kind
discerns right from wrong
Sweet as sound of dulciana
warm as Summer wind in Havana
crisp as Winter in Montana:
That would be our wondrous Anna!
Better known for compassion
than icon of high fashion
Våra urusla vanor
svåra att undvika
likt ansenliga anor
svåra att förlika
Kanske kan vi bli sjövana
på havsvågor upprörda
men till de som oss förmana
blir vi oftast lomhörda
Mänskan på gamla vanor håller fast
Om vi ändrar oss då sällan i hast
Lands in Hesperia

gripped by hysteria
to Bay Area
Blinded by hypocrisy
deluded we’ve democracy
while owned by plutocracy
we’re ruled by kakistocracy
We’re out of touch with reality
thinking somehow we’re praiseworthy
basking in bubbling hyperbole
telling others they’re blameworthy
In the ‘shining city on the hill’
conceited we carry on at will!

-Hesperia: Literally “western land”, a term applied by Ancient Greeks to Italy and by Romans to the Iberian Peninsula and Beyond (i.e. America albeit undiscovered)
-kakistocracy = government run by the vile & worst, least qualified and most unscrupulous people (Greek kakistos: worst)

Hur lång tid kan återstå
i vår hjärtlösa värld
med tillförsikt betonggrå
utanför hemmets härd?
Rasande dess förstörelse
av allting som haft lyster
En snar död min frigörelse
från en tid mörk å dyster
Tills dess min fega åstundan
av finna frid i skymundan
