Thoughts may readily be shared
be it with self-restraint
while emotions best not bared
til we further acquaint
If my opinions you bulldoze
while yours are stridently pushed
a fledgling friendship may foreclose
leaving me feeling ambushed
While the more we patiently listen
the brighter our prospects shall glisten
Slow to warm up, old geezer
cozy home feels like freezer
Although the thermostat
that trusty technocrat
set on ‘high’ – no appeaser!
In waiting room
most aptly boring
something goes vroom
stylishly scoring:
abundantly thumbed choices
of magazines glossy!
Amidst coughs, muffled voices
receptionist flossy
Ubiquitous uneasiness
amidst querulous queasiness
En högst företagsam kille Hassan
han rånar å slåss å tömmer kassan
men gillar visst va kriminell
så sluta med vårt gnäll! Va snäll:
Låt han fortsätta plundra folkmassan!

When was the most recent time
looking in a mirror
that whistles blew, bells would chime
when viewed ourself clearer?
For in its reflection
on close inspection
we shan’t see perfection
or mass affection
So what, in creation’s aviary
few get to sing like a canary
therefore being a bird ordinary
might perhaps prove most salutary?
Här mals de nu ut vers
med en sån élan
som vore de köttfärs
fast man är vegan
Tänk på ett helt oskyldigt djur
som skuttade i hage
i natur, i dur å i skur
sen begravd i din mage!
Kännes det inte inhumant
å svälja det så helt självmant?
So let us trudge along
gulping mega fudge
trying hum freedom’s song:
‘Mustn’t ourselves begrudge!’
while mired in deep despair
not going anywhere
Over diverse diets
getting ourselves mesmerized
Emotions run riots
by repeat failure chastised
Such is life in consumer cultures
where nothing is ‘overdoing’
while life as insatiable vultures
clearly assures our undoing
Takes so much more for us to lose weight
than by what we don’t serve on our plate
Vore medlidsam vår kultur
åt vi stjälkar selleri!
räddade ett stackars ‘slaktdjur’
pga stängt slakteri
Men vi saknar empati
så främst huvudsakligt
att få kunna skrupelfri
tugga kött så smakligt
av blodig plikt, ej av lättsinne
Vore att sveka ens smaksinne
Att få kunna fridfullt sova
och vakna upp med goda vanor
livets oskattbara gåva
att få vandra hovsamma banor
Hellre få sträva i ett osjälviskt levnadslopp
än äga vräkigt hem med polerad flaggstångsknopp
For massive misology
sprightly slighted ecology
chaotic chronology
they offer no apology
Wasted to first search out facts
in world narcissistic
Merely declare what attracts
with quips jingoistic!
While objecting to such ‘reporting’
is found culturally unsporting
