by marketing beguiling
Slosh in water too wet
Imperative junk piling
Sales pitches proliferate
hastening without pause
as cultures adulterate
both as effect & cause
What we don’t sow we want to reap
amidst deep roots of cupidity
entangled, anchored, darkly steep
fastened in frozen turbidity
While dragged by heels on our face
