Who can truly believe
something so chilling
that humans can’t aggrieve
unless God’s willing?
Still not even Gods
could create the same mess
as us humans clods
with more to come, safe guess
So when then collapse gets reprised
whom among us may claim surprised?

There was this artist named Yana
after inhaled marijuana
rather chomped pizza with extra cheese
than painted another masterpiece
Quaint her take on what’s Nirvana
Most virtue-signaling flags
been hauled down came autumn
Those still up flutter like rags
bleached, frayed top & bottom
Let’s hope they still our conscience nags
those fighting flags with their hashtags
To bourgeois way he lives contrarious
prefers his days with crowd gregarious
Blåsut found fine just ain’t Campania
and nowhere a place like Scania
Let’s his old man live life vicarious
we trot them out to sound clever
Tending over-simplistic
so ties to truth they may sever
Quips misidentify
meager on meaning
may oversimplify
while good at preening
Cutthroat snappy
who knows how benight
Quick & scrappy
while rarely contrite
Along with other woke tag lines
the campaign ‘Black Lives Matter’
has seen taken down its yard signs
while White Lies still do smatter
Signs a snug way to get involved
while largely leave issues unsolved
As a cyclist I get numerous opportunities to speculate on why the drivers who pass me leave such varying space between their car and my bike:
If ego of the ‘driver ace’
is bigger than their whatever car:
Then rarely enough passing space
as such driver entitled by far
While going to be plenty room
if smaller ego than the auto:
Then passing goes smooth without vroom
unless driver on phone like blotto
But needs not cause a glitch:
If from roadway cyclists switch
to their much safer niche
of riding down in the ditch!
Did we hear she moved to Greenland
but ain’t that too far away & cold?
No, it was rather to ‘Screenland’
gone ‘baaaa’, while foraging in the fold
She’s living there since years ago
thought first was just commuting
but each time returned more aglow
thus found ourselves confuted
Easy to tell when lost on Greenland
while unaware how lost in ‘Screenland’
No deep love affair
or flimsy fling
shall ever compare
with that of Spring
A long awaited blessing
Spring said he’d come today
teasingly keeps us guessing
in chilly rain delay
But so what if she’s arrives late
elated, willingly we’ll wait
Cognoscenti
with their acumen
twenty-twenty
us to illumine
Daze & frazzle us, and how
to the extent we allow
How come they know what’s what
that hangs on the wall
whether it’s art or smut
better than us all?
Heeding what others claim to know
may just end up as our owned woe
